Swimming Champions 2018

Yesterday Madras won the area gala and have now been invited to Wrexham Waterworld in April to represent the Maelor cluster. What a fantastic achievement! 😁

Urdd Update

The first round of the Urdd Eisteddfod is being held on Tuesday 6th March at Glynceiriog. Although no information regarding specific times/venues have been sent out as yet, it will be held during the school day. Postponed Events

The 1st round of the Urdd Eisteddfod due to be held on the 3rd March in Glynceiriog has been postponed to Tuesday March 6th. As yet details of venue and times have not been confirmed. The Class 3 trip to Blists Hill has also been postponed.

School Closed Friday 2nd March

We are closed today due to adverse weather conditions. We have made this difficult decision for the safety of our children, parents and staff.

We will be monitoring weather conditions with regards to closure of the school. A decision will be made by 7am in the morning, please be prepared in case a closure is required.

School Open

School is open (Tuesday 27th Feb 2018) but please take care on your way to school as some areas may be slippery.

Urdd Day Monday February 12th

A reminder to ALL Urdd members, there will be Urdd Club on Monday 12th February 10am – 2pm in school. Children will need a packed lunch and please ensure your child wears old clothes!  

Kingswood- A night on the tiles!

A great last night at the disco. After a mud packed day, we scrubbed up well! We saw some fabulous dancing, and some individual, unique performances which left us wondering….. Where do they get these moves from?? 😉  

Kingswood – Bushcraft (Building shelters)

Group 3 have been learning all about the various shelters you can build if you ever fancy a night ‘Bear Grylls’ style in the woods. They worked well as a team and we created a ‘Lean to’ shelter with an ‘A frame’ structure and a ‘Kennel’ shelter. Great fun – lots of muscle work!
