We had a day filled with fun to celebrate VE Day. We moved around the classes and did lots of different activities. We made a flag, sock puppets/paper dolls, we decorated biscuits, played some games from the 1940’s e.g. hopscotch, marbles, families, skipping and we did some lindy hop dancing.
After all our activities we sang war songs to the elderly from the Rainbow centre then we had some egg butties, beef paste butties, blancmange and ice cream and a nice drink of lemonade.
