Today we had a very exciting opportunity. We were invited to the Children’s Press Conference (via zoom) with the Prime Minister, Keir Starmer. We were able to dial into Junior Prime Minister’s Questions. Seren asked the PM a question (live on air) which was:
‘I love the outdoors, what is the government doing to make the air I breathe cleaner?’
He told us that the air is very important to him as he has children too. He does not want them to breathe in dirty air or drink dirty water. He said cleaning the air was more of a challenge in the city, not the countryside and it was a priority for him.
He also told us he supports Arsenal, and he is investing more money into sporting facilities. He is trying to build more houses, he is working hard to help the NHS because he has lots of family members who work for the NHS. Also, he is putting more neighbourhood police on the streets to stop anti-social behaviour. Finally he told us he has passed laws to try to prevent misinformation on the internet.
