Community Choir: Robat Arwyn visit
On Tuesday 20th March, Madras Community Choir took a break from their usual rehearsal and enjoyed a wonderful evening with the celebrated Welsh composer Robat Arwyn.
Many of his songs have been performed all over the world by singers such as Sir Bryn Terfel, Rhys Meirion and many more. His song Benedictus was performed by The Three Priests and reached the top ten in the classical charts in many countries.
The choir heard the history behind some of Robat Arwyn’s songs, and were treated to their very own ‘concert’ as he played and sang some of his songs.
It truly was a special evening which will be remembered for a long time and we look forward to him returning in the future.
