Our PE session is a Tuesday morning. From February 1st your child will need to wear school PE kit for this session. They will need black shorts or joggers, a green PE top (available from Sarah Kay’s Embroidery) and black pumps.
Please make sure each item has their name in it. Kits must be left in school as children will change before the session starts.
Here are some of the activities we have been doing in Nursery this week.

Chinese New Year!
On Tuesday 1st February it was Chinese New Year in Nursery we had 4 days of celebrating finishing on Friday 4th with a Chinese banquet.
During the week we heard the story of how the Chinese New Year started, we made lanterns, dragon puppets and tiger masks. In our small world we had the 12 animal stick puppets and had races across the ‘river’ to see which animal won. We found out that the rat came first but he had cheated!
We played in our role play area which had been set up as a Chinese Restaurant, we cooked noodles and drank Chinese tea!
We had lots of fun doing the ‘Chopstick Challenge’, we even challenged Mrs Macey and Miss Mira! Using chopsticks, we had to move dry pasta from a plate into a bowl, if we managed that challenge we got to have a go with Maltesers and marshmallows! These went onto our mouth not the cup, it was such fun.
