Class 2: Remembrance Day Expressive Artwork
We have been looking at poppies and Remembrance. We looked at lots of different poppies and then we looked at the artwork of Georgia O’Keeffe. We made our own artwork of poppies in the style of Georgia. Year 3 did a super job of blending different colours and adding
Class 2: Visit to Chichen Itza
We have been finding out about where chocolate was first consumed. We went on a ‘Five minute adventure’ to Chichen Itza. Then we chose how we wanted to build our own version of an ancient building. Some children chose Kapla blocks, some chose Lego and some chose the Block Area.
Class 2: Drop Everything And Read
We had our DEAR session on Wednesday. We enjoyed sharing books with a friend. There was lots of talking about the story or non fiction book they had chosen.
Class 2: Designing and making masks
We have been finding out about where and when chocolate was first consumed. We have designed and made our own masks in the style of Aztec and Maya masks. Class 2: Autumn leaf dances
We have been creating partner and small group Autumn leaf dances as part of our Expressive Arts. We worked together and had to create a sequence of movements. We had to listen carefully to instructions and follow the music. We were fantastic Autumn leaves!
Class 2: Chester Zoo 1
We had a lovely day at the zoo! We took part in two workshops and saw lots of the animals. I think we have some very tired children! Year 1 and 2 found out about different habitats and we looked at some animal skulls. Year 3 learned about Rainforests and how important they are.
