As part of the craft competitions for our school Eisteddfod, Year 3 children were asked to create a daffodil using any materials they wanted.
Shortly after, the school received an email from Michelle Davies chairperson of the Floral Committee of the Llangollen International Eisteddfod asking if the children would like to take part in the Daffodil Festival at St Collen’s Church in Llangollen.
The school choir took part in the Peace Message in 1999 and 2008, the school has also visited the Eisteddfod many times in the past, so this was a wonderful opportunity to continue the link with this special event.
The Daffodil Festival took place on Friday 5th – Sunday 7th April.
Mrs Jarvis went along to see the daffodils and the photo shows Father Lee from St Collens and John Gambles the Vice Chair of the International Eisteddfod standing in front of the Wall of Daffodils.
