Nursery: Christening

As part of our classwork we have been looking at special places and celebrations.

Today we went over to church to christen our class dolls.

They both wore a white christening gown and we wrapped them in white blankets to keep them warm.

We had two sets of parents and six godparents in total.

We named them Megan Jane and Daniel Peter, they were very good and didn’t cry at all.

Father Jeremy talked to us about what happens when a baby is christened.

He poured water from the font over their heads and used some special oil to make the sign of the cross and their forehead.

Afterwards we went back to class for a party.

Miss Clark made a special cake for us all, it was yummy!

What a wonderful morning.
