Wrexham county council has asked us to advise you that:
‘Further to my message issued previously (19/10/2106) regarding attempts to abduct school children in the Chirk / Oswestry area, it has now come to my attention that an attempt was made to abduct a pupil who was walking to Rhosnesni High School. The incident occurred at approx. 8.10am and involved 3 male adults in a white van. The matter has been reported to North Wales Police and the matter continues to be investigated.
I would also ask for your cooperation in alerting your parents to the situation and advising them that children should not walk to and from school unaccompanied. They should either be escorted by their parent or they should walk to and from school in the company of a group of peers / friends.’
