Over the last few weeks we have used a text for our Whole Class Reading. It is a Ukrainian folk tale. called ‘Telesik’ Each session we have read a different part of the story and done lots of different activities linked to it.
This week we hot seated the dragon and asked her questions about why she tried to capture Telesik and how she felt when he managed to escape. We also completed a book review of the story. We acted out pars of the story outside and used a crate and planks for the little boat.
We have also made short animations to retell each part of the story and answered comprehension questions. We wondered what happened to the dragon and if she is still lurking around the woods!
