Class 4: World Book Day 2

As part of World Book Day we brought in our favourite book and told the class all about it and why we would recommend it as a class reader.

Class 4: World Book Day 1

As part of World Book day we teamed up with a reading buddy from Class one and read them a story of their choice. We practised our focus on expression and taking notice of punctuation when reading to an audience. We really enjoyed it.

Class 4: Dance

In Dance we have been devising our own group dances using the song ‘Party Rocks’.  Next week is our showcase event to see if our friends across the school enjoy our hard work.  This is a taster of our dances – our start and finish positions. As you can see we have attitude!

Class 4: Our second BSL Lesson

We had our second BSL lesson today. We revised the Welsh and English alphabet and then we read a story with sign language. It was called Penblwydd Hapus. Miss Angela and Miss Debbie taught us numbers too.

Nursery: World Book Day

Nursery: World Book Day We all loved dressing up for World Book Day in Nursery today. It was really strange as our teachers today were The Highway Rat and Princess Pearl!

Class 3: Picture Perfect (Power of Words)

Yesterday, we used Adobe and the tool ‘Text to Image’. We looked at how the language we used helped create different images. We created some fantastic images of dragons for our stories and of course had a play with what funny images we could create too.

Urdd: First Round

Urdd: First Round On Saturday 24th February, 10 children took part in the first round of the Urdd Eisteddfod in Ysgol Hooson, Rhosllanerchrugog. In the morning, 6 children took part in the Learners Recitation Year 5/6 prelim. Three were placed and went through to the afternoon.
