On Monday, we went deep underground to discover how slate was mined. 500 feet below the surface, we looked at the old methods of mining and got to experience a magical light show by the underground lake. We had to count the steps on the way back to the top too.

Class 1: Forest school. This week we had an easter egg hunt and easter crafts!
Two of our Y5 pupils competed in the Maelor Cluster Eisteddfod today. They recited a poem called ‘Siopa’. They were animated, word perfect and clear. We had an overall winner and a ‘highly commended’ medal. We are so proud of them. Dai iawn merched!
