We had our DEAR session on Wednesday. We enjoyed sharing books with a friend. There was lots of talking about the story or non fiction book they had chosen.
This afternoon we had our first DEAR session. We could choose where we sat and we chose a book. We enjoyed talking about the books with our friends!
We have been looking at symmetry this week. We made pizzas, matched Humpty Dumpty back together, made some symmetrical butterflies and had a go at making our own patterns.
We took part in an online workshop provided by the RAF. It was a STEM challenge. The aim of the challenge was to build three different gliders, each with a unique shape or structure. We had to build, test, record and improve our designs. This helped us to explore how our design choices affected flight.
This week we took part in a workshop by Xplore. We looked at how all the different parts of our body work together as a mini community to ensure we are happy, healthy and safe. This linked in perfectly with our Christian value of Koinonia.
Thank you to Seiclo Cymru for our recent Y6 Cycling Proficiency course. The children really enjoyed it. They have learned a lot about road safety, signs, lines and safe riding on the busy roads.
