Class 4: Science Workshop at Maelor
Today four of our pupils visited the Maelor school to take part in a spy themed workshop. They enjoyed it very much and came back to school with a project that we can all do in class. Exciting times!

Nursery: Internet Safety Day We looked at voice assistants in nursery. We found out what a voice assistant can and cannot do. We heard a story about a little girl called Roo.
In class we have been reading Puddles and the St Francis Day Service. The story has different special objects which can be found in a church so we went across to our church to see if we could find any there. We were very excited, as we managed to find all of them!
Nursery: Heavy and light We haver been busy weighing in nursery today. Which is the heaviest? Which is the lightest? We filled socks and had a heavy sock and a lighter sock. We used the scales to find heaiver and lighter than.

Urdd: Art and pancakes. Today in Urdd we started on our art work for the Urdd Eisteddfod. The theme this year is ‘Dreams’. For snack we had pancakes (crempogau). We asked for our toppings in welsh. Blasus iawn!
Yn meithrin for excellent listening in Science. Good recall facts on Antarctic and penguins. Yn derbyn for good maths. Yn dosbarth 2 for working hard and trying his best. Super attitude to learning. Yn dosbarth 3 for an excellent powerpoint on trust. Yn Dosbarth 4 for brilliant work on the Spanish Armada. Fantastic ‘thinking skills’.
Nursery: Castles We have been finding out all about castles in Nursery. There are so many in Wales! We had lots of fun building castles with blocks, bricks, sand and play dough.
