Urdd: First Round On Saturday 24th February, 10 children took part in the first round of the Urdd Eisteddfod in Ysgol Hooson, Rhosllanerchrugog. In the morning, 6 children took part in the Learners Recitation Year 5/6 prelim. Three were placed and went through to the afternoon. As part of our Light topic we have been predicting which materials would be reflective. We had to design a new book bag for school that would reflect car headlights in the dark. We worked on groups to test the materials and then order them from most reflective to least reflective.
Nursery: Eisteddfod On Friday 1st March we had a wonderful time celebrating St David’s Day by taking part in the Foundation Phase Eisteddfod. We took part in some of the competitions, we painted dragons and made dragons from clay. We sang and performed a folk dance that we had been learning.
