Nursery: Funny Bones We have been reading the story of Funny Bones. We had lots of fun decorating ginger biscuits, making skeletons with blocks and matching up skeletons. We used the play dough to make a skeleton and had lots of fun making our little plastic skeletons dance.

For the final part of our ‘Space and Aliens’ Day, we read chapter two of our book. To our surprise, the alien from the jam factory sent us a letter with a tricky riddle! Will we be able to solve it and discover the planet the alien comes from? We’re also going to write back … Read more
For our third activity, we used the iPad app ‘Chatter Pix’! We made our alien models talk by recording little speeches for them. It was so much fun to see our aliens come to life. We’ve started to upload our Chatter Pix videos to Google Classroom, so feel free to check them out.
Our second task of the day was creating our own spacecraft. We had lots of fun painting and gluing and we’re going to hang our spacecrafts in our classroom.
Reception: Hedgehogs We had lots of fun learning about hedgehogs. We made hedgehogs out of clay and we got quite messy making chocolate covered croissant hedgehogs!
